Tâm

Tâm means heart, and it means soul — the two are not separate. The diacritic is restored deliberately. Without it the word flattens, and the breath that gives it meaning is lost in the crossing.

Khav Tâm

Spoken aloud, Khav Tâm sounds as craft soul. The name is the working method: nothing made quickly, nothing made without heart.

We publish slowly, and on purpose. Each book begins as a question asked of memory — what was carried, what was set down, what survived the crossing — and is shaped by hand until the answer can be held.

To sculpt is to remove nothing that matters. We work with authors whose lives unfold across more than one language, and we keep the textures that translation is quickest to smooth away: the untranslated word, the ritual performed without explanation, the silence that carries more than speech.

This is what the imprint is for. To honour what was inherited. To hold what was lost. To imagine new beginnings.
